POSITION DUTIES:

JOB TITLE:  

Construction Manager

  

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT:  

908 Inge Ln, Leander, TX 78641 and various unanticipated construction sites in Williamson, Travis, and Harris counties.


Plan and coordinate all construction project activities, ensuring the timely completion of each phase while utilizing BIM workflows to optimize efficiency. Prepare and submit detailed budget estimates, progress reports, and cost-tracking reports using BIM capabilities for precise financial management. Inspect and review construction projects to ensure compliance with building and safety codes, environmental regulations, and design specifications. Use BIM models to simulate compliance checks and identify potential safety risks in advance. Organize and plan construction or maintenance activities for structures, facilities, or systems, leveraging BIM for real-time project tracking. Collaborate with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals to resolve work procedures, complaints, or construction challenges, all within the BIM framework. Review job specifications and plans to determine the most effective construction methods and materials, supported by BIM analysis. Participate in the full BIM development cycle, from design and development to implementation and testing of large-scale distributed BIM technology solutions, including software applications, tools, systems, and services. Coordinate information management, smart object metadata, and classification codes with asset information databases to ensure seamless project integration. Oversee and participate in field visits, attend meetings, and ensure effective communication and collaboration among engineers, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders. Review and respond to project bid documents, product data, shop drawing submittals, and RFI’s. Manage CPR’s, ASI’s, and RFP’s to ensure project continuity. Support field superintendents and project engineers with technical and logistical project functions, including subcontractor planning, administration, and work assignments. Interface with all on-site departments to resolve issues, ensure quality of construction, and support the overall project schedule. Implement and maintain quality control programs by using BIM to monitor and track quality assurance issues in real-time, ensuring a high standard of work throughout the project lifecycle. Manage cost and change control, including change order review, negotiation, delay analysis, and recommendations. Ensure tracking of key project documents such as submittals, change orders, invoices, payments, and lien releases. Conduct risk analysis and collaborate with the Operations Manager and Field Operations Manager to adjust project strategies and plans as necessary. Position may include a telecommuting benefit. Requires domestic travel approximately 60% of the time to various unanticipated construction sites in Williamson, Travis, and Harris counties, with no relocation required.

REQUIREMENTS: At least a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field and at least 2 years of experience in construction management (any title), including managing large-scale construction projects, working with constructability models and drawings, utilizing BIM technologies in the design and construction process and for Facility Management (FM), and using Revit, Navisworks, BIM360, AutoCAD, Notion, and Bluebeam. Requires travel to various unanticipated construction sites in Williamson, Travis, and Harris counties. Position may include a telecommuting benefit. Requires domestic travel approximately 60% of the time to various unanticipated construction sites in Williamson, Travis, and Harris counties, with no relocation required.
